Cluster Flow Simulation

This visualization follows gas moving through a three-dimensional network of filaments and dense clumps inspired by the cosmic web.

What you see

Gravity from modeled dark-matter halos draws gas inward, while pressure, cooling, and energetic outbursts reshape its motion.

The gas density view reveals where matter accumulates. The compression / shocks view highlights regions where flows converge and squeeze the gas, including developing shock fronts. Colors illustrate the simulated quantities rather than the appearance of visible light.

How the simulation works

The gas evolves through fluid dynamics within a deliberately constructed starting structure. This is a simplified simulation for visual exploration, rather than a reconstruction of the observable universe or a precision cosmological prediction.
